Every action inside Sarvodaya Garima Greh is anchored to four objectives laid down by the Ministry — designed so that every resident lives a decent, dignified life.

“Garima Greh — Shelter Homes for Transgender Persons” is a scheme launched by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. It aims to provide shelter to destitute and abandoned transgender persons — with basic amenities like shelter, food, medical care and recreational facilities.

Sarvodaya Women Welfare Society is the implementing organisation for our centre in Daminedu, Tirupati — translating the scheme’s promise into a warm, real home.
